Complications within the identity of a castaway

Do I exist if no one notices me?
Or am I simply lost at sea
Hidden underneath
Longing to be free
I don't know anymore
Traded my identity, but what for?
I'm invisible to the core
However I know I know more
I know I'm here
But they aren't aware
So I live in fear
Don't let anyone near
I guess I'm more than lost
Castaway, at what cost?
Might as well be dead, like I got shot
But why am I upset, if this is what I want?
