What, Why, and When
What will happen when everything stops?
When we finally dissolve into nothingness
Like a phoenix rises from the ashes
What will grow from our remains?
Will another civilization take the place of ours
Or will the Nothingness remain for Eternity
Unyielding and Immovable?
Will a barren wasteland smother every memory of what might have been
Or will a jungle take root, every leaf crisp with possibility?
Who will stay to tell our story
Once we are gone?
Will we be remembered
Or will we fade like the millions that have come before us?
Why should we be immortalized
When all else remains forgotten?
What do we have
That others do not?
