Devastation
You can hear the cries of the people
with loved ones in the city
They say it brought us closer together
but even the moon cries with pity
Then on Sunday morning
the world is dressed in black
“goodbye daddy” she mumbles
“I wish you could come back”
New York is up in flames
and we now know who is to blame
New York went up in flames
and we must remember those who went up to heaven
on the day we call nine eleven
