Clock Frozen in TIme
There was a little clock that stopped clocking
Shaped as a small candle, delicate and soft
Who just wanted to flicker a gentle fire of its own
But it will forever burn from the marble it was sculptured in
Finely tuned so the hands ticked in perfect alignment
With the Earth, the moon and the stars
But with a shudder it gave its last tick
  Hands were frozen in time
  Until someone carefully disassembled
  And placed a small battery
  In the pretty little clock
  That had once stopped clocking
