The Actress
Buy your ticketss
for you only get one.
Take your seat in the theatre
watching the movie that is secretly
your life.
Your story.
Invisible cameramen take note of every move you make.
Always watching.
Always judging.
You've been taught not to mind them,
but you can't ingnore their colhearted eyes,
that bore into the back of your head.
Everyone's watching,
all eyes on you.
All thier expectations.
All their requirements,
but what if you cant meet them?
What if you don't want to?
You know that no matter how much you pretend,
everyone knows that you still care
care about how the veiwers think of you.
You try anyway.
Dresses are made for you behind your back.
Styles and sizes always chosen
from the latest magazines, and the critics opinions and ideas.
But never yours.
When the fitting comes you put the gown on.
They say you look beautiful
perfect
flawless.
But when you look in the mirror,
You see someone else,
not the person you know and love,
but the physically embodiment of
everyone's expectations.
And when the screen goes black,
and the curtins close,
you're left wondering,
alone in a dark theatre,
Who am i?
Who are we all?
What is this movie called life?
All I know is what i've wasted,
and who knows how much time is left.
