Drift (your planet's gone)
I hate the day you
Called me your Universe
Because I believed you
Sorry for my ignorance
I'll just spin round and round
Pretending you still care
If I was a star
Then you were the moon
And if I was a comet
Then you were the Milky Way
I may never have been your world
But you were the center of mine
If I was a planet
Then you were the sun
And when I drew closer
You pushed me away
Spun me out of orbit
Revoked my sense of gravity
And if Venus was in love with Jupiter,
I'd never know
And if Saturn was wed to Mercury
And Mars was laid down to rest
I'd never hear the news
Because me and them don't run
In the same circles anymore
I'm just drifting off in space
Maybe someday I'll find
Another galaxy
But for now it's just cold and dark
Two things I hate the most
But it's better than burning
In your everlasting lies
I was always prone to wander
Anyways
Don't think you ever owned me
You spun me out, but I should
Thank you
Now I'm too far away to pull back
I'll just drift to build a better life
You can't see me anymore
But I'm waving you goodbye
Your planet's gone
