Solace In Nature
The soft tsk tsking of rain
The dreary nonchalance of the pain
And though I may boast
I very well may know the most
That I feel much worse than I feign
The soft cool breeze of the wind
A break I can’t seem to mend
And though I laugh like I’m fine
If they could peer through my mind
They’d know it’s in no way how I want this to end
The soft warm skin of your hand
The pretty whispers of a now broken plan
The sin from which you cannot atone
Is when you left me, broken and alone
And with absolutely nowhere to stand
The sky behind my window is raining
And through all my stages of paining
It all looks blurry inside and out
As the tears slip from my eyes and from the clouds
But with the heavens to cry with, sadness is waning.
