Fantasies
You feel as if this life is not truly yours, reality is fading.
You envision yourself as many things in many worlds, yet they are not true.
Perhaps you see yourself as a ruler that shows great philanthropy.
You pass by a famous merchant who has begun his trading.
This person in this land of swords and sorceries is not you.
For hours you engulf yourself in this literature, gawking at their majesty.
“You” see enemies at the end of the horizon, they are invading.
Yet, although this is supposed to be your world, it seems new.
You realize now that this is all an attempt to abandon our pathetic reality.
You now know that if you continue to fade into foreign lands to this world, then truth will become nothing.
If you continue to close yourself off from this which is real, you will be in solitude, like an animal in a zoo.
If you keep losing your grasp on this world, and delve into great stories of magic, entertainment will be your enemy.
This unparalleled power that you experience in these worlds is pointless, as pointless as screaming.
There is no such thing as a group of wizards and soldiers, you have no all-powerful crew.
Please do not lose your real self within these impostors, I ask this of you politely.

I got the idea to write this while listening to the Oingo Boingo song "Who Do You Want To Be?"
