My name says I’m this girl trying to find light where it’s dark. Find love in my heart, and happiness in my pain. My name says I long for love peace and guidance. But my name says Shontell, somebody who has dreams they’re dying to see.

My roots are beat, trying to break at its weak points, starving for water to feed it roots. The roots are damage in a way, that no water to restore it strength in anyways. My roots are the birth of my tree, even with damage roots my tree has grown stronger and stronger even when circumstances change. My roots keep me grounded when mother-nature tries to move me. My roots run deep, through many different streams, my roots reach out to touch my family seed

My trunks and branches represent the strength and pain in me. My trunk grows strong but my branches so weak. My branches fight for seasons that come and go yearly. My branches aren’t naked but I know my leaves of confront will only be temporary and soon my branches will be naked waiting on season to nurturer me.

As I grow I’ve been the wonders windy winters, the sunny self-destruction summers, the falling leaves of fall, the special sprouting of spring. As I grow my leaves out grow my branches, my roots try to grow healthy. As I grow I see the worms of wonder and the ants of anticipation sleeping at the incomplete hole in my growing tree.

Even though the seasons change and I face the sunny days of summer that feed my leaves. Only for the whisky wind of fall to come around and strip my tree leaves. For the cold wet days of winter to poor life into the root of my tree. As my branches hold on for the sprouting of spring where my leaves will grow back on my tree. Even as the seasons change and the cycle repeated.

Because … your name says... Even though seasons change. As you grow, and your trunk, branches, and roots are what your name says
