"Love"

Love is a word,
A very powerful verb,
A quite often used term that’s contagious like germs
Sometimes you mean it
Sometimes you don’t
No peace
No love
No happiness
No doves
The heart is broken flying up above
Running away trying to escape
Maybe because it has very little faith
Love is a word that’s sadly mistaken
I don’t know how this will be taken
All of my statements are honestly true
Because love has a meaning to all of you.

I wrote this poem because there was always, and still is a misconception about the meaning of love. The term is always being tossed around, and used to fill peoples ears and tell them what they want to hear and you dont necessarily mean it. I hope people will just get an enoyable fullfilment when reading my poem.
