You fell in love with my flowers
And told me how beautiful I was
But you did not fall in love with my roots
All you saw was my exterior
But you never once looked to see me in depth
So when autumn rolled around
And the leaves fell from the ground
You finally saw me for who I am
And decided I just wasn’t for you
