An Equal World

The world sure would be a lot more peaceful,
If men and women were treated equal.

How can the world exist on a balance,
If men and women aren’t paid the same allowance?

People should be able to do what they want regardless of gender,
Instead of being someone they aren’t, like a pretender.

It allows men and women to escape from prejudice,
To be themselves without even questioning it.

It affects how we act and what we do,
It affects everyone, yes, even you!

It is time that we take a stand against gender inequalities,
Instead of being useless frivolities.

Gender equality is something we all have to address,
Instead of treating women like they are less.

Thank you for being there for me,
For letting me be who I want to be.

Whenever I am sad, scared or insecure, I think of the woman who told me then:
“If not me, who? If not now, when?”
