I made it
It hurt because
I made it hurt
I made all your empty promises
Feel like venom
throughout every inch of me
I made
memories of love
feel like
broken glass
I made
streets feel like dark alleys
you should never
travel alone
because that's where we use to go
I made
the moon
feel like it was crashing
at my feet
because we used to gaze at it
I made
it feel like
I was less than
everything you told me
I was;
So I burned
every memory
I watched them
go up in flames
I burned
every empty promise
I burned
every place we use to go
I saw
yellow and orange flames
trace memories in my head
It hurt
because I made it hurt.
I’m at peace,
because I made
my own peace.
