Far Above
Looking down
On That sleepy stage
seeing the half painted scenery and props
From Far Above
Staring down
at the empty seats below
imagining the bright lights and a show being performed
From Far Above
Feeling the
cold crisp air blow on my back
and the stiff wood beams on my palms
From Far Above
The smell of
wood chips and fresh tinder
trying to keep my steady balance all
From Far Above
You get a
whole new perspective
seeing a place you love and cherish
From Far Above

This piece is about the auditorium at my school where I spend most of my days after school at play practice. I am looking down on the stage from the catwalk (Where all the overhead lights are) and I am seeing this place like I have never seen before.
