Reality
There will be a day,
When we no longer have to catch a bus.
Or sit in a classroom writing poems, hoping they sound okay.
There will be a day
When that 5 minute passing time
Turns into hours between classes.
Where the lunch on your plate is no longer questioned,
And you’re not forcing that greasy pizza sandwich down the back of your throat.
There will be a day
Where you won’t sit in slimy bus seats,
Carrying around book after book
Cursing your teachers under your breath for assigning 20 page packets.
There will be a day
When you’ll lose contact with people you once cared for most.
There will be a day
When we all have to grow up.
So right now,
Let's make memories to remember.
Forever.

Going through high school year by year, becoming more and more mature is really what inspired me to write this piece. I guess you clould say that this is really what most of our lives are going to be. I know for a fact that I myself am not in a rush to grow up anytime soon. My advice is to live in the moment and cherrish every day you have left being a kid.
