Flushing High School Campus
The air as cold as ice
Fills with the smell of grass, earthy, bitter sweet
The sun so bright it’s blinding
Cars lined up in the parking lot
Trees a dark green
Bodies beginning to numb
Everything feels damp
The grass glistening in the sun
Car windows foggy and frosted
Trees shaking in the wind
Rust up and down the building’s walls
The noise each car makes as it drives by
The cement feels as if it’s ice
The sky a very deep blue
Sounds of airplanes rumbling above, on occasions
The unique and beautiful campus of Flushing High School
