Trauma.
Everything seems blurry
as i can't catch my breath
it feels like my lungs are closing up
i feel cold drops of tears
run down my face as if their
having a race down my warm
red cheeks
I yell “i can't breath”
teachers run over calling 911
my back aching and hurt
i lay on the hard wet ground
crying so much trying to breathe
my hands started tingling
i can barely move them
I'm panicking as i'm on the ground
squeezing my coaches hand
as hard as i can
hearing ambulances and fire trucks
seeing the bright lights flashing and rushing over
They pick me up as if i'm light as a feather
and put me on a gurney
they lift me into the ambulance
as i'm brought to the hospital
bruised and tense my back feels
but as the doctor clears me
i feel joy in my heart
safe and secure
and i will remember this day forever
not just because of the trauma
or drama
but because of the heroic people
in my life
