Opposites Attract
Bring me your broken pieces,
Show me your wounds and scars.
I’ll put you back together,
Right now and forever.
You are the sun,
lighting up the world with your warmth.
But I am the moon,
only seen in the darkness of night.
You are scared to be loved,
I am scared to love.
But yet you let me love you,
and, oh God, do I love you.
You are calm and mellow-headed,
I am impulsive and daring.
You keep me under control,
And I make you live a little.
When I’m with you I feel a certain high,
it’s something I never want to let go of.
When you take my hand, or kiss my forehead,
I feel like an ice cube on a hot summer day, melting at your touch.
If you’re broken I will mend you.
I am your yin to your yang,
the darkness to your light,
the crazy to your calm,
And the love of your life.
