Dreamers Unite
It’s a cold and crazy world,
everyone fighting for their dreams
to break the charts of the music industry
or be the mother of three.
“Only little kids can dream”
they would all preach at me.
“dreaming is foolishness;
listen to reality.”
“You need your job to be stable,
whatever the money brings.”
But can’t your dreams do just the same?
Who says you can’t have both?
I’ve silenced outside voices
and now listen to my own:
Follow your dreams,
listen to your heart,
thats where it has to start.
To be successful,
you don’t need money,
you need passion,
you need to strive,
or else its not worth the drive.
Be young.
Be happy.
Be a dreamer.
Sweet dreams.

This poem was created to show that you can follow your dreams and succeed. I want to go into a field that isn't well paid and I keep getting directed to choose a different path. I refuse. Get the will to refuse also.
