Where I'm from

I am from the chalk filled air.
From the bumps,
Bruises,
Cuts,
And scrapes.
I am from falling on your face 7 times and getting up 8.
I am from the broken bones,
Ripped, and torn hands
I am from the days you can’t feel your body because of last night’s conditioning.
From the countless pump up speeches
And the endless shalom
I am from the good times,
Hearty laughs with teammates,
And the new skills picked up.
I am from the sport of gymnastics!
