Why not rebel?
Why not say what we want to say?
Why not do what we want to do?
Why not be who we wanna be?
Why not be different?
Why not be unique?
Why not sit alone?
Why not be unhappy?
Why not be too excited or too overwhelmed
by things in life?
Why not see what we wanna see?
Why not stand where we want to?
Why not walk where we want to?
Why not do things that make us happy?
Why not go where we want to go?
Why not change who we are?
Why not draw what we want?
Why not write what we want?
Why not play what we want?
Why not have the things that we want?
Why not have things our way?
Why not paint what we want?
Why not change the way we look?
Why not change what we have?
Why not yell when we want to?
Why not be quiet when we want to
without getting asked “what's wrong”
all the time?
Why not question authority??

-While writing this poem out I first just wrote down things that I am not able to do “say what I want, do what I want, be who I want”. but then I just wrote down things that others and I are not allowed to do “Question authority, paint where and whatever we want, say what we want and where we want”
