Winterguard
As I step onto the floor
a wave of nervousness
runs through me
but I know
this is the hobby
I love to do
and I wouldn’t want
to do
anything else
being nervous for
a first show
is inevitable
in the end
As the song begins
I ease into
the music
zone out
everything is now irrelevant
and i perform my heart out
And when the show ends
and we start
leaving the floor
I started to think
about how
I would remember
this moment
for years
to come.
