life-changing decision to jump on a passing train and leave his farm and possessions behind.

I am from his loving daughter, my grandma.
I am from the grandma who made a difference
in the community and our family.
I am from another brave man who had
an extremely hard childhood.
I am from the same man who was orphaned
at twelve and went to Canada by himself
that same year on a boat.
I am from the same man who made a wonderful son, my grandfather.
I am from an involved grandfather who was raised in a poor family on a farm but was rich in love and compassion.
I am from a brilliant hard-working grandfather who would do anything for his grandchildren.
I am from a place of history and life changers.
I am proud of my family and forever will be.
