Thinking back I should of kept things to myself,
Should have been smarter.
Thinking back I probably should have replied no instead of yes,
But at the time yes was the best.

Thinking back I probably shouldn’t have lied,,
But yet the thought still holds me captive.

Thinking back I should have tried harder,
Fought harder,
And thought harder.
But I didn't.

Thinking back I should of saw you before you left,
I should of saw that smile and laid my head on your chest.
But I didn't.

Thinking back I should have smiled more,
Knowing all that I have to live for.
But I didn't.

Thinking back I should have went with my gut feeling,
But my heart had more control than my mind.

Thinking back I should be happy,
Happy that the words you once revealed were the truth.

Thinking back on all that I should have done
I wouldn’t do anything differently,
Because a life worth living is a life filled with no regrets.
