The Seaon's Cycle
Did you know my hair changes color?
Did you know I lose it all?
I lost it once before
And before
And before.
I changed it once before
And before
And before.
I'll start in the beginning
When I lost my hair
I felt bare and cold
like a flower without its petals.
For I wasn't beautiful anymore.
No one appreciated me
Because I had nothing to give.
When the snow began to melt
My hair began to grow
Slowly but surely
Life began to form
And I felt alive once more!
I knew soon I would be appreciated
I could give something more
When the weather was finally warm
My hair was long
It was finally healthy
Finally voluminous
Finally green.
To be completely honest,
It was the best it's ever been.
All of a sudd- OUCH!
Something was biting me!!
I felt as if my dress is being torn away
Away from my body
My black and white dress
Was now into pieces.
When the brisk weather came
My hair began to turn
First red
Then orange
Then yellow
Then brown.
When finally there was
Nothing.
And now, I'm back to the beginning.
The seasons cycle once more
Did you know my hair changes color?
Did you know I lose it all?
I lost it once before
And before
And before.
I changed it once before
And before
And before.
