The Nice Babysitter
It was a sticky night
Like when you spill juice on your hands
In the middle of July
When she walked into the house
Mommy was busy talking to her
Olivia was holding the girl's hand
Smiling like a poopyface
Super excited to see this “new” person
Soon Mommy was out the door
And the nice girl was sitting on the couch
Watching us eat pizza
While we watched TV
I was excited to meet her
She seemed super nice
I was running around the house
While eating my yummy pizza
Then suddenly I couldn't breathe
Something was wrong, I was coughing
My pizza, my poor perfect pizza
Was stuck in my throat
She had told me not to run
Especially with food in my mouth
Maybe if I listen to her
We wouldn't be here
But I was fine
My pizza went down
With a plastic cup of water
That the nice girl gave me
Then we were playing
a new game, called headband
"You have to take Olivia's headbandBut you can't give it back!"
Olivia stole the headband
I was running to catch up
I can run faster than superman
So I almost caught her
But Olivia, had a weapon
She closed the door to her room
But due to my speed
My toe was able to stop it from closing
It was a terrible kind of pain
I have never felt so much pain in my life
I screeched, louder than a eagle
Clutching my toe to keep it on my foot
The nice girl came running
And dragged me to the couch
The ice cooled my little toe off
And we put on my favorite show
I guess it was worth it in the end
I did get the headband back
Winning the game
And we also got to watch my favorite show
Soon after Olivia was playing with her tooth
It was ready to come out
I could hear it screaming
Let me out, let me out
Now that the tooth was out
And my toe was better
The nice girl decided
It was time for bed
Except I wasn't tired
I could run all around for the rest of the night
She tried to put us to bed
When we heard a shatter in the hallway
She told us to stay
So she could see what was wrong
But when we went out
The picture in the hallway was shattered
The nice girl put us in our rooms
And she quickly cleaned up the mess
And told us not to walk on the carpet
Because of the pointy glass
Then she came back
And Olivia and I were snuggled in bed
Storytime was upon us
And she started a book before another shatter came
"Coco!" She shouted
The dog has knocked a glass from the table
And it too had shatter
She was busy cleaning it up
She hurried back in
And Olivia asked what time it was
"It is bedtime" she said concerned
Finally we both got in bed
After a short story about the orchestra
That means it was about animals or something
She closed the door
And wish us a good night
The next morning
I woke up in my bed
The tire marks from all my favorite car
Carving the length of my bed
I thought I fell asleep in Olivia's bed
I thought to myself
Then I smelled the sweet smell
Of perfect pancakes
I ran into the kitchen
As fast as superman
Mommy smiled
"Did you have fun yesterday, Colson?"
I banged on the table
"Yes, I did!" I smiled
"Where are my pancakes?"
Mommy served them, with some syrup on the side
Olivia came rushing in later
"How was yesterday Olivia?"
"Oh," she smiled
"IT WAS SO MUCH FUN"
Olivia went on forever
"We did this with Gabby, we did that with Gabby"
So maybe that was the nice girl's name
Gabby...
