Bowling

The explosion of the pins after a beautifully thrown ball,
the smell of bowling ball cleaner and rosin.
All brings me back to my life of bowling.
Strike.
An amazing feeling walking into the loud yet comforting building,
filled with both excitement and disappointment.
My daily practice routine, walk up, throw.
Strike.
Hoping to get another,
just one more for that perfect game.
It doesn’t hit right,
spare.
