Crystal Heart

Given to me by someone i hold dear,
a clear crystal from my Grandma.
See-through in the light,
shiny at night.
A piece of my Grandma.
Smooth on the sides and sharp at the edges,
precious to me because she’s no longer with us.
It contains her memories and feelings,
and I’m honored to hold it for her.
A beautiful piece of crystal.
Much like her it’s flashy and bright,
smart and a complete diva.
“I’ll never lose it!” i promised,
and still remember her everyday.
