cigarettes

the cigarettes burn my throat
they taste repulsive
they smell terrible
they are bad for me
they leave ash behind
But why do so many people love them?
They make streets look ugly
cigarette butts on the ground
in the flower bed
in the park
in our lungs
They’re costly too
it’s like throwing money away
and your health
stupid cigarettes.
