Take Me Out to the Ballgame
I get out of the car
roasted almonds
hot dogs
people running, walking
“Tickets! Extra tickets!”
“Peanuts, cracker jacks!”
The crack of the bat,
the roar of the crowd.
We walk up the stairs
bumping into people.
Section 131, row A
We get into our seats
I look around the game and see white, blue, orange everywhere
A myriad of colors
“Ice cold beer!”
When the game ends
we make our way through the crowd.
Staying close to each other,
I take one last look at
Comerica Park,
then we head home.
