Prisoner of Reality
You are there, but I am here
I am there, but pinned here
My soul’s windows are here, but my soul has climbed out
Fled in the dark of the night, gauzy curtains waving farewell
As it sped laughing over convex, concave
Sweet drops of moonlight, overflowing, pushing past the brim
Puddles of human desire staining the oceans silver
No roadmap needed, for there is only one direction
One goal… one heart lost, but found
Passing by the unfound, curled up
Fetuses born not from love, but the lack of it
But it grants no second glances
Direction clear, love as infinite as the Earth it circles
Free falling, pulled by the gravity of need
Craving for the warm embrace to repair the bullet holes
Fatefully separated, but together for a second
Time rushing past, my soul’s windows searching for their inhabitant
Suspended on two ends of the chain holding me together
Unite and survive
or
Let go and live
The curse of humanity- the oppressive chains of a single world
I wish I could be Hercules, throw of those weights
Let my soul escape to that one second of paradise and live there forever
