The stories of water
Are the stories of the land
The country air
The sounds of the piano
As I look up to the shelf
It stays there, next to the others
It was old, worn, not like the others
I stood,
He sat
Playing beautifully
We laughed,
We listened
The book of water went where he went.
Now he passed it onto me
The stories not only of water
But the stories of the land
