The surrounding area in Weinfeld West Virginia was so vast,
I felt like a small glowing dot myself.

I crept up behind the glowing dot in the sky

I grasped it just barely, cradling it in my tiny hands

I dispersed the fragile bug into the jar

And Then…

Quickly

I screwed on the lid,
my hands wrenching in weird ways
so my precious bug couldn't escape

Quickly

I leveled my eyes with the center of the jar,
watching the illuminating glow of the bug light up in the jar.
Like a little party had exploded inside it.

our jar started to fill up and up
until the interior of the jar couldnt be seen
