Before The Sun Sets

Before the sun sets
Before dusk consumes the waves
Take one last look
The birds
The clouds
The sand
These things are taken for granted
Until you realize to cherish them
Because you know you won’t see the same view
At least for a while
And there is an anchor in your heart for that place
The longing to go back
To that same sunset
The beauty of an end
But yet
There is reassurance
Because
That moment will be stowed away to your fondest memory
And thus, the certainty of a new one will manifest
Into something even more beautiful
