bloodshot eyes
wet checks’
long hallways
with what looks like new faces,
thousands of questions
race through my mind,
why’d that happen
to me,
what did I do?
someone stops me,
an old friend
and they stare
at me,
only
me.
everyone stops
then they stare

I’m now the
school outcast.
