will you be the last?
Tonight I pulled over on the
  side of the road and
  picked some of those sunflowers
  I’ve been looking at every
day since you left and I
find myself smiling all the way
  home, singing a song that
reminds me of us; the happiness
  never lasts long.
I spent the past two nights
in your bed and after a month
  I’m still trying to figure
out how to make you miss me.
I’ve realized that with you came
a world of firsts- my first road trip,
first slow dance in a parking lot, first
I love you. Was I memorable
enough for you? Do you hear
me in the songs on the radio, do
you write me on napkins and
old receipts, do you see me
  in your dreams?
When you said goodbye, had you
  already started forgetting?
