I Am Ready
There is a big black hole in his life,
A null, a void.
Its palpable darkness grips,
Trying to pull him under.
“Give up’’ it whispers tauntingly,
“You have nothing to persevere for’’.
There is a big black hole,
Out of its darkness storms a boy.
His eyes glow with courage,
He is ready.
Ready to rebuild life,
Ready to embrace the past to build the future.
Ready to live in a world -gone -mad,
Ready to light up the darkness, one small candle at a time.
Am I ready?
Ready to storm out of the darkness to help a friend in need,
Ready to rebuild life and brighten someone’s day.
Ready to embrace the past and forgive and old lost friend,
Ready to fight a world -gone -mad.
Ready to light up the darkness, one small candle at a time.
If he did it,
Why shouldn't I?
I am ready.
