Wandering Soul
Lying here alone in the dark,
I see the world around me change
While I remain the same.
Wishing I could grow and bloom
Like the flowers in the spring.
Though I know this dream is but an illusion.
I am lost.
I am alone.
A wandering soul floating about the Universe.
No one can see me.
No one can care.
For I am an idea,
A whisper in the cold dark night.
So I keep wandering through the stars,
Across this lonesome existence without a cause.
Often I dream of a home,
Of love,
Of belonging,
But these things are unfamiliar and distant to me,
Much like my presence to the rest of the world.
Until I find a place to rest my wandering soul,
I'll continue to hope, dream, and walk alone.
