In The End...
When the world around
Is all but falling down
And lost, we flee
If only, only, only we could see
And cry out to the only One who saves
One who's blood ran for me.
And who am I to yet betray
Such a precious sacrifice
And cast away in haughty pride
A raiment lighter than the robes of the world
And cast dark eyes towards the Book?
Why cry and burn at the precious sight
When in humbleness you could delight
And see the world in His light-
A rebellion you hold
Fisted in your hands,
The hands you always fold
The cards are scattered,
The Joker lies-
And will burn, and his ghastly laughter
And his bells, those bells
Tinkling the world to hell...
Until the trumpet sounds,
Every knee shall bow,
Every tongue profess-
That He- He is Lord!
There be no man
Nor demon in hell
Who may stand in His presence
when He bows thy knee.
Keep thy pride,
Oh sinner!
Keep thy bells,
Wicked one!
And feel the fire,
If you choose!
Or loose them all
and Fall
Fall at the feet
And be drawn up,
Into the beauty of the Lord.
