Still I Rise
Screeching tires and screaming people the results of gunshots flying through the air petrified I stay in my seat on the bleachers my eyes locked on the unfortunate victim of Satan's scheme.
Blood rushing to my head momentarily impairing my hearing tears silently falling down my face in a sudden burst of anger and relief.
My mind spins with memories of similar events I've seen through the years.
I bow my head thanking God that through it all still I rise for another day.
