As the cheerful sun peeks into plates of morning home curtains

I woke up to the scent of new day I’m little uncertain

Fresh from yesterday’s remorse I don’t wanna go back

That shattered my hopes used to be intact

Every day seems to be turning very fast

Moments flew freely like fine, powdered dusts

Where will each day find and lead me

If I’m chained to the shadows I don’t wanna go back?

Pain stabs my inner self, thrusts  the core of my only escape

Regret fills me, and drowns this man in the ocean of hate

What will I do, if I’m locked in the realms of darkness

Will I succumb into the depths of this deadly twirl so endless?

Until one voice spoke to me earnestly

It cling tightly, wrapping my soul so dearly

The swabs of comfort clouds surrounded my being just right

I knew it was him from the brightness of sheer light

Then I realized, there’s no more dwelling in the dark

I’m drawn to something big, a new adventure every day to embark

It’s a matter of perspective, choice and outlook on life’s brighter side

Where in the toughest times, Look up! Mr. sun still shines, and it’s where hope and faith reside
