Silence
Silence is all that you've left
It's all that can exit me
But I'm grateful
You left me with something
Other than my dignity
I gave my all to you
All I was willing to give
All I could freely give
And so did you, I think
But what happened
Something I thought was impossible, unable to happen
The relationship I thought was over
Came back in full force
Hitting me in my face
When I tried to walk in
Clearly telling me
That where I was
Wasn't my place to be
That I was unwelcome
In its territory
Making me walk back out,
In Silence.
