The wrath of
every inanimate object
of nature unleashed;
bristling with fury
at the heinous
injustice going on.
The soil wet and dark,
enclosing impeccable horrors
of all kind.
Could it get any worse?
She stepped cautiously
with restrain,wary
of all the terrors the
place had to offer.
A brown leg , enveloped
by a skirt in tatters.
A bronze chain tied
around one leg.
She was handcuffed;
black and blue,
as she cried out
for better times;
neither able to live nor die
as she squatted down
to relieve nature’s call.

Many women around the world suffer even without private bathrooms. They have to undergo the struggle of open defecation.This actually aroused me to write this poem.

well! Actually in India , in the Northern areas, the people think it is not honorable for women to expose their faces to everyone..while it is perfectly honorable to defecate exposed in the fields. There was a recent suicide by a 17 year old girl due to this...and that is why this poem!
