A poet's affliction

The outcry of our souls-
written in pen and marred by our blood-
is unjustly measured against the stars.
And lest they be heard,
the tears of our hearts
will forever be shed in vain:
lost in a sky unreachable,
spoken in words unreadable,
and hidden in scars unseeable.
Never to be found,
lest we be heard.
