“Don’t take my advice. Or anyone’s advice. Trust yourself. For good or for bad, happy or unhappy, it’s your life, and what you do with it has always been entirely up to you.”

- Nicholas Sparks, The Best of Me

It's like at first they fall for you all the way & you are the one holding back. Thinking this has never happened before, is it even real? As time goes on you think it is. You fall in love with every part of them and everything about them. They don't have to impress you. You fall in love with their eyes, their voice, their kisses, how they look around your room, and how they look at you. You can't stop smiling. For once you only want them and you are genuinely happy. But then, everything changes. They begin to treat you poorly and it's either you are on clooud 9 or you feel no happiness at all. No in between. The things that made you happy now feel like it's being taken away, you are under what feels like a storm and it's never ending. You don't even know yourself anymore but you still want to be there for them. They make you feel like the one who causes it all. The distortion there is that you are the most loving and passionate person they will ever meet and they are the ones with the problem. You care about them more anyone ever will and they can't see it. Now what you have to do is build yourself back up & tell yourself the real love you are searching for won't make you feel like this. It's coming, but you deserve the world and not to be handled with someone who doesn't know how to accept love. So love yourself enough to walk away from what doesn't serve you.

This is for anyone who can relate to loving the wrong person, and the pain it entails.
