"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." -Eleanor Roosevelt

Grief is like a cut that never goes away.
Some days the pain subdues,
On other days the pain will ooze,
But no matter what,
Don’t give up,
And don’t let your love stray.

Without your heart,
Your compassion will dart,
And your head
will begin to decay.

Don’t put on a disguise,
It’s alright to cry.

Just know she loves you,
And she knows you love her too.
Don’t try to forget her,
Although the memories
often haunt you.

You can talk to her anywhere.
She’ll hear you, I swear.
She is watching from above,
As peaceful as a dove.

Over time the cut will scab over,
And you won’t feel it as much.

Remember her always,
Even on the darkest days,
And always know that where she stands,
Is in the most loving hands,
And she is happier than she’s ever been before.
