The plum tree
sits quietly
at the end of the clearing
in the sunset

Sweet purple plums
thrive around the tree
they are ripe and juicy
ready to be eaten

into the meadow
skips a little boy
to the plum tree
to seize its beauty

a stroll
in the meadow
oh so soft
as he dances

the young boy
is very happy
his favorite fruit
is in front of him

he reaches the tree
oh so softly
and with his fingers
plucks a plum gracefull

the plum rests in his hands
very softly
a beautiful purple shade
to fit the mood

a quick bite
a rush of flavor
explosion of sweetness
and joy

the small boy
twists and giggles
he smiles
and lets out a laugh

the gentlest of
breezes rises
and the boy
smiles as he eats

a beautiful sun
oh so peachy
rests on the horizon
to comfort him sweetly

the little boy
needs to go
he sees his mother calling
and his father telling him to go

the boy picks
another couple plums
he looks at his family
and waits until the sun is done

he looks one last time
at the beautiful tree
oh so beautiful
and so amazing

And now
the boy prances away
with a smile on his face
off along the sunset

I was inspired to write this poem because summer is starting. I am ready and I love plums so yeah!
