Fragile
We've all got scars.
You can cover them up,
You can hide them,
but they're still there.
Some run deeper than others.
A girl like me
is supposed to be
a flawless porcelain.
Yet, all I am is cracked and chipped.
How can I be anything but nice
when I have felt the weight of cruelty?
I am but a fragile, crippled toy.

The best part about poetry is that it allows you to take your darkest memories and turn them into something worthwhile that someone else can relate to. I wrote this piece about my backround. I had a semi-bad home life for a while and then my dad died. I am top in school and good at other things and soemone was talking to me and we got on a subject and he said, "I thouhgt you were closer to perfect, a goog girl. this is the poem that came after.
