The Little Apartment
There is a little apartment in Paris, with orange walls and a wooden floor that creeks as you step across it. In the apartment lives an abundance of plants that align themselves like soldiers along the windows. Through, each window a bright light shines and dances across the room, each morning. Together, the light and the plants give the tiny, little apartment life.
In the little apartment is an old wooden bed that is covered in white, white sheets and pillows that rise almost to the ceiling. There is little other furniture, but the bed will do well for all that is missing.
In this little apartment lives an old gray cat that slinks around unnoticed until dinner- time when he comes out of hiding for an evening snack.
In this apartment lives a girl who drinks coffee in the morning by the window with her plants and her sometimes visible cat. In the afternoon she lounges around and fills her head with stories from her of supply of books that stack themselves throughout the little apartment. These tell her of adventures in other lands and loves that conquer all.
When the hour is late, after she has fed her fat,old gray cat, her mind full of stories and thoughts, she makes her way towards her wooden bed, all covered in white, white sheets, and there, she and her cat go to sleep, both dreaming dreams of her days to come.
