Silence

She walks slowly
and stares straight ahead
you don’t know
what’s wrong
or right
about her

Silence

Her eyes stare at nothing
won’t meet your eyes
until you meet hers
then she won’t let go

Her words
are urgent whispers
lies that stumble over each other
on the way from her mouth

You can’t forget her
her beauty is deadly

You can’t love her
you can’t hate her
you’re always in between
and crying

She’s murdered millions
yet everyone wants her
they’re all awed
by the beauty
she holds

She isn’t threatening
until you become obsessed with her

When you get in too far
you try to run
fill the space with words to hide behind
but there’s no escape
from the fate
you’ve sought out

You’ll forget why you wanted her
and finally give in
to her
her eyes are as seductive
as the night she lives

She’s not kind
she’ll mess
with your mind

She can save your life
or end it

Silence

Wow. At first I thought of it as a woman, and was very impressed, but then I read it back as the personification of silence, and it went from good to incredible. You described it perfectly. It's gorgeous imagery. My only critic would be your lines per stanza. I'm not sure if it's just teenink format, but found the inconsistent lines disrupted the flow. I'm not entirely sure what format you were going for. Besides that, the poem is lovely.

This is a really good poem. I like the repetition of silence, but maybe you could have gone even further with it. Very good though.

Great job! I can really feel your emotion and I like how he doesn't want to but yet he does. Nice imagery and details. The "silence" part is really powerful. Please keep writing. God bless! :)
